Ok these few days have been eventful, to say the least.
WEDNESDAY
Met up with my dear dear Sapta.
It was not full strength coz Nan had
to study and Ruf had dance.
So it was Vay, Sangee, Geetz, Sindhu and me.
We were supposed to
"do our hair and nails" << TO MY UTTER DISGUST
and watch movies.
As usual, Vay rented the most weirdest titles and
this time it was Carolina Moon.
O_o?
Samn rxn here.
So we abandoned the movies and
spent like about 4 hours on Vay's couch
just talking and talking and talking nonstop.
Just like old ladies about the good old
Cedarian days and the not-so-good present days.
About boys, studies, how we have changed,
2010, 2012 (*roll eyes*) and many other ahem private stuff.
It felt like home.
Felt like the past Sha has been reawakened.
Next time I see them will be Cedar Homecoming.
So bloody excited to see the new campus!
THURSDAY
Farewell dance practice.
Confirm in 1st song dance.
Yay!
Completed it and we look quite awesome actually.
2nd song choreo is hard but damn fun actually.
We are so gonna rock the stage if we practice really hard.
:):):)
I realized I would have given 6 performances
by the end of the year.
Arangam, SYF, AJ Dazzle, JJC, Farewell Assembly and AJTL Farewell.
Woah.
Good times.
FRIDAY
Hari Raya Haji.
Was in full blue.
Went to Habima house.
Met Shamsiah akka and Fabian!
Usually my height doesn't bother me
but I only come up to Fabi's elbow around there.
Gah....
n he said he is considered short and
his father is taller than him.
Going to Germany, not happening now.
Mehru, Malike came down also.
The highlight was when Habi pulled out
this orange box full of OLD OLD pictures
when I was like 3-4 years old.
All of us were ogling at our young selves
and how cute or ahem nerdyyyyyyy we were.
All the shorts were near our chest.
All the multi coloured shirts were tucked in those shorts.
Urgh urgh.
But really it was fantastic looking at those pictures.
Awesome memories.
Met my new born cousin, Yasmin.
She is sooo cute when she smiles.
Later when to Jurong.
Met my new born niece, Yasmin.
(Yes, 2 yasmins.)
She slept in my arms!!!!!
Aaah, so cute.
SATURDAY
This was an awesome day.
In madrasah, we had to help with the
Korban and the Korban feast.
Mega highlight of the day:
I sheared goat's legs.
YES!
They sacrificed the goats and gave the girls
just the goats legs.
We had to shear the overgrown fur and SKIN
using knifes
off the goats legs and just give them the bones.
My god, it was bloody and stinky and disgusting
at first.
All kinds of vomit sensations.
But we got used to it and it was
definitely an unique experience.
UNFORGETTABLE.
Just wished we had taken pictures.
But its ok. Next year!
We have become experts already.
Then we washed and cut and packed and cleaned
and all that as usual.
Damn tired.
But loved it all the same.
SUNDAY
When I think of this day, only this phrase comes to mind.
"Who says tudong clad women can't have fun??!!!"
East Coast Beach outing with Madrasah Girls.
About 30 of us headed to ECP
to just bond and celebrate the end of year.
Senior ustazahs were there too.
Ice breakers started off things when suddenly,
disaster struck.
It started raining like CATS AND DOGS.
It was like every second, it got heavier and heavier.
But of course, nothing stops us in the name of having fun.
We continued playing!
We went to a grassy patch near our shelter
in which half was mud.
The kind that if you press your foot in,
half of your foot will be buried kind.
n just played captains ball!
With our tudongs and shirts drenched in the pouring rain
and splashing mud,
we were having a ball of a time.
n my team won!!!
After that, all of us got down to the water
after the rain subsided.
I think from the outside,
it will look very out of the norm
to see about 20 women in tudong,
colourfully, in the water.
But we couldnt care less, and were taking
gazilllion photos in the water up until our necks.
Even the senior ustazahs joined in!!!!!!!
Then cycling.
I cant cycle to save my life, so Ris and I
took doubles and she rode.
With the wind ripping through,
I was "riding" behind like
as if I've been on a bike all my life.
Terrific day. Absolutely terrific.
So yes, that was my week.
N now that december has started.
Its gonna be exercise, dance, study, memorise
and nothing else.
THE MONTH OF CHANGE.
peace!
