Vasantha Oli 2008 with Hamsath.

Easily there were about 10 to 12 thousand people there.

The atmosphere was electric.

No other way to describe it.

I was cheering and screaming all the way.

Cedarian screaming mind you, I couldn't even hear myself.

It was that LOUD.

Everyone was cheering, clapping and singing along especially

for the kuttu songs like Yemma Yemma, Appadi Poodu.

Everyone just was kuttu-raaning in their seats.

The 4 singers from India, Haricharan,

Rahul Nambiar,(I swear, he is on drugs, he was that high),

Sunita (She is hot!) and Kalyani

were highly impressed by Singapore because we were such a
responsive crowd, even though it took some time to warm up.

The singing was perfect.

Elamaran as usual, is great at hosting.

When he was introducing Ebi,

"VS 2007 yaar?!"

the crowd response was initially quiet.

So we said "Ebiiiiiiiiiii!" softly.

Ela was like "enna eli ah?!!!"

lol. Then Ebi came on

and Hamsath melted. To say the least. haha. :):)

Then all the popular dance groups came on.

First FKB performed.

Ela: "Enna beez?"

Sha: "KILLLLLLAAAAAAAA BEEEEEZZZZZ!!!"

They danced for a Satyam song, awesome as usual, inspired by Jabba a bit, I think.

Then Agni Reloaded came with girls.

The AR girls are awesome.

They were dancing on par with

their male counterparts, energy-wise, movement-wise, everything.

I was proud of those female dancers.

Next, the reason why I wanted to go to Vasantha Oli 2008 in the first place,

the beloved champs Aerocratz.

I went stark mad. Just insane.

Dressed in all black, they came in and rocked the stage!!

That particular dance I've seen before so I proceeded

to just clicking away on Hamsath's camera.

Then, more singing.

At one point of time, this old lady came

right up to the front and just started
dancing like a mad woman for one kuttu song.

She had to be pulled away by the organisers.

Funny shit.

Another time, a frog, about the size of an average computer mouse,

appeared near my seat.

Hamsath packed everything, all ready to run.

I was just sitting there trying to calm down the lady beside me.

But then the frog went away.

LOL. damn funny.

Just another one of those times,

when insects/amphibians/whatevernots

come and everyone else goes crazy

while I just sit there and laugh at them.

Then again FKB came to dance for a Sangamam song.

They forgot their steps at a certain part

and were just impromptu-ing.

Couldn't control my laughter because

their facial expressions were so funny.

Then they got back on track.

Then AR came again.

Since 5.30 when the show started till 10.30,

Hamsath and me were waiting and waiting for the Indian singers

to sing Taxi Taxi.

When we heard Ela introducing,

we just turned to each other and screamed.

The best part of hearing Taxi Taxi live was that

Aerocratz was dancing on stage with the singers.

In came my high pitched Cedarian screams,

the poor lady beside me probably should have gotten

ear pain.

Hamsa and me were loudly singing the chorus to each other.
"Nee nee nee nee illaye naan naan naan engu povathu?!

Thol saaya thol illaiye en vazhkai ennaavathu?!"

SSwweeeetttt.

Ok this next part is the best out of the whole night.

I was working on an small art piece

for Aerocratz to give to them.

Usual Sha style: A3 black paper with silver pen.

It turned out very well. :):)

So I obviously wanted to give

the guys this small gift of mine.

So Hamsa and me waited and waited

for them outside the venue.

FKB past by, AR past by, no Aero.

So we went in again and waited. Still no Aero.

Then I caught Elamaran and enquired with him

First, he said they left already.

I could feel my heart dropping to my knees.

But then, Ela said we should check

and brought us backstage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such a sweetheart.

There were individiual tents for each group performing.

My heartbeat rate was 165 beats per minute at this time. lol.
Ela opened the Aerocratz tent, they were there!

Thank god, I'm not fair if not, I would have looked like a tomato.

Suddenly, all the shyness in the world seemed to be upon me,

I couldn't even speak properly.

And trust me, I'm not that of a shy girl at all.

I gave them the art piece, "Eh, style-la irukku!". Lol.

Took a picture with them holding it.

One of the guys was putting powder on his face

and the rest were like "vaadaa vaada".

LMAO.

I regret not asking them any questions

because I was tongue-tied.

Then we exchanged goodbyes and I left.

It was such a dream-like moment and it ended as rapidly as it started.

Awesome.

But I forgive her because after all its Aerocratz. lol.

So I've met 2 of my fav fav artists, Hrithik Roshan and Aerocratz.

And sort of met, my ultimate, Linkin Park and Fort Minor,

in their concerts, in the moshpit.

If I meet LP face-to-face, I think, I would be tongue-tied,

legs would become jelly and just turn into human goo.

Inshallah. One day. One day, I'll meet my idols.

What a wonderful night it was

Pure entertainment. Just have fun, scream and relax.
